Elder Lightfoor and his wonderful parents share time with us in the mission home. They give us one of our favorite treats (there's a story behind this gift--the missionaries can fill you in!

King and Cathy Udall and Bobbi Smith come to visit. They are dear friends from Utah. King and Boobi's husband, Sherm, were medical students at UCLA in the 80's.

President and Hermana Pace, former mission president/wife in the Spain Barcelona Mission come for an enjoyable visit. We feel forever grateful for their love, encouragement, and support over these past 26 months as we have served. They have helped us tremendously by giving us wonderful advice!

Valencia Zone Conference - October 4-5, 2017

We enjoy a wonderful zone conference in Valencia. I teach about, "Emulating Christ's Character."

The Assistants, Elder Perri and Elder Christensen, teach, "Our Missionary Purpose: Eradicating Complacency."

Elder Triana teaches Lecciones en Español. President Dayton teaches about "Contacting: Overcoming Common Objections."

Elder and Hermana Rohde and Hermana Snowden and Hermana Gibson prepare a delicious Mexican meal -- pulled pork, beans, rice, salad , guacamole and chips with delicious chocolate brownies for dessert.

Following lunch we participate in the Scripture Memorization Challenge. We are memorizing 50 scriptures this year to help us be more effective teachers.

Elder Bowles and Elder Morley, Zone Leaders, teach us, "Just Do It" -- being excited and involved in sharing the Gospel. Hermana Gonzalez and Cortez give an inspiring message, "Sharing Your Light."

President Dayton discusses, "Effective Commitment Invitations: Key to Baptism." We conclude with a beautiful video, "The Refiners Fire" and a very spiritual testimony meeting.

Following the meeting we have the opportunity of receiving flu shots-definitely the highlight of the conference :)

Mission President's Seminar -- September 12-16, 2017

We attend the Mission President's Seminar in Lisbon, Portugal. Those attending from Spain are -- President and Sister Pak - Madrid Mission, Elder and Sister Anderson - Malaga Mission, President and Sister Packer - Madrid MTC President. We enjoy spending time with these faithful leaders.

El Faro Missionaries Return Home

Today we say goodbye to a grand group of faithful missionaries. They have worked so hard and accomplished so much! We sure are sad to see them go, but are excited to see what they move on to do.
