This week the
Senior Zone Conference was held. It was held Tuesday and Wednesday in the
Monasterio Piedra, a beautiful location close to Zaragoza. The first day of the
conference each missionary companionship gave an account of their stewardship.
President Dayton discussed the arrivals of the Gallis and other incoming
missionary couples, the new mission boundaries, new units and buildings, and
the number of missionaries that will be in the mission after the boundary
change. Sister Dayton also discussed the meals for upcoming conferences, new
health specialists, the Book of Mormon bookmarks, and the Character of Christ
cards. Then the Daytons and the Lundbergs presented a report of “What the Lord
has taught me.” President Dayton Concluded with a spiritual thought of the role
of the Spirit in our lives.
The next day all
the missionaries took a hike through the beautiful park of Monasterio Piedra. It
rained and snowed and was quite the adventure. That afternoon everyone drove
down to Zaragoza, where we also visited the “El Pilar” Cathedral, after which
the retreat ended. It was a memorable experience for all.
A wonderful conference, planned by our super Sister and President Dayton. What a joyful time with these Missionaries and what a blessing to be here.
