New Missionaries Arrive - October 4, 2016

New missionaries arrive from the Madrid CCM. We meet them at Barcelona Sants train station.

We enjoy pasta salad luncheon with fresh bread, watermelon, and cheesecake for dessert. The assistants and office staff sang our mission song, "Greatest Mission on the Earth´s Great Face."




President Dayton gives a short devotional explaining a little bit of the history of Spain. He then encouraged all the missionaries to reflect as a new missionary in this wonderful country and the opportunity they have to share the gospel with the good people in Spain.

Viejo dinner--Monday October 3, 2016/Sating Good bye to such special missionaries

Missionaries returning home help in the kitchen to prepare for the Viejo Dinner tonight.  They make guacamole, grate cheese, dice tomatoes, prepare the cilantro while Carolina makes the dressing and I make the Tres Leche cake. This is a fun memory for all of us!

So fun in the kitchen with these wonderful missionaries all waiting for their final interviews with President Dayton.

We enjoy Cafe Rio Salad for dinner with Tres Leche cake for dessert. During dinner each missionary shares a special experience in the mission, they tell what they will miss most about Spain and what they will miss least.

Our faithful missionaries travel home. President and I thank each of them for their remarkable service!

Baptisms/Family Visit

We enjoy a baptism in our home ward in Btrcelona with my niece, Brooke Rampton, and her wonderful family--Adam Sr, Adam Jr, Kate, Joseph, Noah and Anna.

President Dayton and I attend three baptisms this weekend.  What special people joining the church in Spain!

Brooke and Adam Rampton Family visit us on their vacation. We enjoy sharing time with this sweet family!

I enjoy reading The Testimony Glove to Anna, Noah and Joseph.

Barcelona Ward Sunday September 21, 2016--FHE September 25, 2016

We attended the Barcelona 2nd Ward Council Meeting with Elder Zwick where he gave instruction on using Ward Council in missionary work.  We then attended the Sacrament Meeting where Elder and Sister Zwick, President Mike Duffin and President Dayton spoke.  Afterwards we met a host of wonderful friends including President and Sister Duffin (Madrid Temple Presidency), former mission president Villamizar and his wife (Venezula), Sister Barbara Perry, Eduardo, Susana and Giada

We attend Badalona Zone Enfoque on Tuesday September 23rd, 2016. 

We enjoyed a wonderful Family Home Evening with many investigators in the mission home. President Dayton taught about the Apostacy.

We enjoy a delightful Sunday Dinner in the mission home with our office staff. Elder and Sister Morejon prepare a delicious goat cheese salad with carmalized nuts and fresh bread.
