Zaragoza Conference and Interviews

Today we traveled to Zaragoza to have the first conference of the transfer. Missionaries came from Lleida, Zaragoza, and Andorra to meet with us. We were instructed by the Zone Leaders on effective planning and follow up and the Sister Training Leader Hermana Iverson taught on making the most out of the new missionary schedule. Next, I taught on the importance of positive thinking and President Dayton taught on extending commitments and understanding the missionary purpose.

Lunch was prepared for us by Elder and Hermana Fowers. It was such a great meal and we are so grateful for all that they do for us and the missionaries here.

Hermana Bateman shakes hands with El Faro´s tallest missionary, Elder Morley.

The zone surprised President Dayton with a cake for his birthday.

We also had the first couple of interviews this week. The missionaries from Hospitalet came to the mission home and were some of the first to try out our new couches!

Fresh to the Field... The New Missionaries arrive! Feb, 2017

We met 15 of the new missionaries at the Barcelona Train Station. They arrived this morning from Madrid. Elder Compton was picked up at the airport and arrived from the Provo MTC.

We are so excited to have these missionaries arrive! We started our meeting and shared the years baptismal video. The spirit was so strong and these missionaries are so prepared! A great lunch was prepared by Carolina and it was delicious! Compliments to the cook!

After taking a picture with each missionary, we drove to Mont Juic to overlook the city of Barcelona.

We actually got to see a sneak peak of these missionaries in the MTC. They did not know that we were coming so it was a surprise for all!

Departing Missionary Dinner/Early Flights Home--February 2017

A bitter sweet evening with some of El Faro´s greatest missionaries. We were able to enjoy each others company, share our testimonies, and they all shared experiences from their missions. We are sad to see them go, but we know that they have all served faithfully and will continue to bless the lives of those around them.

All conversing with their new life-long friends as we go up the escalator.

We all met in the mission home at 6:15 this morning to arrive at the airport on time. After checking all of the luggage, we met back up for a final photo of this impressive group. We give thanks to Elders Campbell, Johnson, Ramirez, Anderson, Muncy, Pemberton, Sedgwick, McCreary, Maurer, Ipsen, Fairbanks, Alder, and Wadsworth as well as Hermanas Johnson, Stapley, and Jones. They will all be missed!

Elder Wadsworth had to leave earlier in order to catch his flight and missed the group photo. He says farewell to President and I for the last time.

Hermana Jones' parents came and picked her up here in the Mission home. We loved being able to meet with them and share this sweet moment.
