El Faro Returning Missionaries

One of the joys of being a mission president is greeting former missionaries when they return to El Faro for a visit.

Senior and Married Missionary Couples Conference

We held our triannual Senior and Missionary Couples Conference in Andorra. President and Sister Fowers organized a memorable two days of site seeing and adventure.

Opening Night
We held a three hour meeting where each person reported on their area and shared a spiritual experience. We also discussed health needs of the missionaries, apartment improvements, and a variety of ideas to improve missionary work. Following our meeting we had a delicious meal cooked by a professional chef.

We visit the Fowers' wonderful neighbor farmhouse en La Seu d'Urgell (a small town just outside Andorra).

Called to Serve! (Day 2 - June 14, 2017)

After a morning meeting for the trainers we enjoyed a delicious lunch of chicken fajitas with a salad on the side, once again prepared by our spectacular chef Carolina. For desert we enjoyed ice cream and a snickerdoodle.

After lunch a joint meeting was held for both the trainers and trainees. We discussed the doctrine of Christ, the Vision of the Mission, and how to be an effective missionary.

And now for the long awaited companionship assignments!!!

Called to Serve!!! (June 13-14, 2017)

On June 13th, 2017 a good looking group of new missionaries arrived at the train station ready to hit the streets running! We are so excited to have them with us and immensely grateful for their desire to serve!

Welcome Elder Rathke!

Welcome Elder Zeeman!

Welcome Elder Christensen!

Welcome Hermana Baker!

Welcome Hermana Ligon!

Welcome Elder Holbrook!

After a short introduction to the mission we enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Carolina (the mission chef). She served a beautiful plate of enchiladas with corn and a salad on the side to each person present. For desert she served a brownie with ice cream and hot fudge sauce on top.

After the luncheon the missionaries went up to Mont Juic, a local castle with a commanding view of the Barcelona area. President Dayton shared that this is their mission as they viewed the entire Barcelona metropolitan area.
